Quest on Thorndon

The only real downside for me was hearing the dryer rumbling next door through the fairly thin walls. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend it. I stayed four nights over Christmas and found the staff very friendly. The apartment had a lovely feel and was very spacious for one person. I also appreciated the extras, including two lots of washing liquid, and access to the gym across the road was a welcome bonus.

We were able to get into our room early, which was a nice surprise. We arrived around 10am, well before the 2pm check-in, expecting just to leave our bags and spend time in town. Reception checked with House Keeping, who had already finished the room, so we could settle in straight away. My Wifey and I had a really pleasant stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful, including House Keeping, who chatted with us in the elevator. The room had Chanui tea and Bloom cookies, two shortbread and two choc chip, plus a dishwasher and washing machine. I think there was enough detergent for two loads each. My Wifey is a light sleeper and slept fine. You can hear the hallway from the room, but other guests kept quiet, and the hotel has a no party policy and asks people not to make noise there. We’ll stay again.

The staff were friendly and the room was nice. When we stayed the night before and the night of my wedding, they left us a lovely card, a bottle of rose, and towels arranged like a swan. I’d absolutely recommend it.

After a long day exploring, it was a lovely place to come back and relax. Quest made a great base for our Wellington stay, and the room upgrade to an apartment was much appreciated. It was luxurious and well appointed, with beautiful bedding, a neat little kitchen stocked with tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, plus a washer and dryer. Thank you so much.
