The room was comfortable, clean and tidy, and had what the listing said it would. It’s a two-storey building, with the rooms and facilities on the first floor. The amenities were basic, and the bathrooms and toilets are shared, as advertised. The stairs were a bit steep for my knees, though I managed them. We knew we weren’t booking the Ritz, and for what we paid, it was fine. Don’t expect Buckingham Palace when the listing tells you what’s on offer.

The place has some charm, but it’s quite worn. The sheets were clean, though the bedcover wasn’t, and the bathrooms could use a better clean. There were bad smells in a few areas, including the kitchen. Staff were friendly, and checking in very late was possible.

I came back for a second stay. It’s not fancy, but the price feels fair for what you get. The people are nice, and there’s a cat on the premises. I’d go again if I’m ever in need of a place.
