Whakatane Holiday Park

The staff were great and the place was easy to get to. We really enjoyed our stay at Riverside holiday park. The rooms, kitchens, and shared toilets were all neat and tidy, and the shared toilets were especially good during a busy period. There’s a pool and good play areas for kids too.

My moko and her cousins loved the pool, the big grounds to run around in, the scooters and trikes for hire, and the bouncy play thing. The room was fresh and clean, and we slept comfortably. The camp itself was lovely and clean, with well groomed lawns. The patron was really friendly. Excellent for a Holiday Park, and I wish I’d booked another night.

For the price, this is a good value camping ground, with kind, friendly management. The showers had plenty of hot water, and the toilets and kitchen were clean. Kids have lots to do, with a pool, a bouncy blob, and pedal trikes to hire. The downside wasn’t the camping ground itself, but some inconsiderate campers who partied until midnight. They were in an iron shed, which amplified the noise.

The staff were very kind and super helpful, and the location is ideal, close to town and beside the river walkway. I spent three nights in a basic cabin room with shared facilities and had a pleasant stay. My room and the shared areas were comfortable, clean, and tidy, and the communal kitchen was very well equipped. It’s a lovely holiday park, and I’d definitely stay again.
