From the back garden you can get straight onto the beach, and on a clear night it's dark enough to see the stars. The hot tub is easy to use and regularly maintained. Cooking facilities are basic, with a hob, microwave, fridge, and freezer. Parking is right outside with wide spaces. There's also a laundry and a self-service room with supplies for freshening up the room. I liked being able to pick up clean towels when needed instead of having someone come in. A staff member is on the small reception desk during opening hours, and the staff were helpful and welcoming. There's no AC, but the powerful ceiling fan kept us comfortable when it was 25C. It's a great base for exploring the area, and I'd really recommend the dark sky stargazing tour. Reception has lots of information about where to go.

You can help yourself to fresh towels, tea, and coffee, and beach towels are provided. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer available for a small fee. The owner and staff are friendly, and the amenities are great. This is a lovely small hotel right on the beach, with excellent views across the bay and a nice garden hot tub overlooking the water. Highly recommended.

We liked the ocean sounds at night and the lovely views, and my wife especially enjoyed that. The staff made everything easy. We used the kayaks and bodyboards, and liked it so much we extended our stay. A brilliant place to begin our holiday. Many thanks.

Right on Whitianga's beautiful beach, this is a fabulous spot to relax and unwind. The apartment was very clean and well equipped.

The backyard was the highlight for me, with the ocean right there and plenty of lounge seating, plus a hot tub. The room was clean and modern too. Really loved staying here.
