We had a nice stay. There’s a hammock for relaxing, and it’s close to a bar, an eatery, and other food shops. The beach view was beautiful and calming, and the kids enjoyed walking down there to play. The room was clean and tidy.

The location and service were great, as others have said. What brought the rating down for me was the bathroom: in six weeks of travelling around New Zealand, this was the only place with carpet throughout the bathroom, even around the toilet. At the nightly price, I’d recommend getting rid of the bathroom carpet.

The owner was awesome. We arrived late at night, got a quick tour of the property, and then were left to ourselves for the whole stay. There’s a lovely patio for meals with a beautiful beach view, and a restaurant is a short walk across the road. It’s also a quick drive into town for shopping.

Kelly was very welcoming. The room was clean and nice, with great sheets and towels and a really comfy bed. A/C and a handy makeup mirror were bonuses. I’d definitely stay again.

You can't beat the location, right on the beach with several restaurants just a short walk away. Our room was clean and well appointed, and the balcony had a beautiful ocean view and sea breeze.
