The evening had a great feel, with live music at dinner, and the kids were really engaged by the movie afterward. Our rooms were clean and the food was delicious. We were surprised to find chickpea gravy, and it was tasty too. The staff were very cooperative and friendly. A really nice desert experience.

Our driver Ahmed, arranged by the camp to take us between Al Wasil and the camp, was fantastic. He showed us his camel farm and told us about Bedouin life. We left our car safely in the parking area next to the Al Maha gas station, though you can also leave it at the station for 1 OMR. We skipped the paid activities, which were quite expensive, and walked up the dune ourselves. It was very doable, and we liked taking in the scenery at our own pace. The outdoor cinema was fun too, especially the Tom & Jerry movie. Dinner and breakfast both had a good variety and tasted delicious. The chicken, grilled and cooked, was a little too spicy for me, but dinner was a lovely atmosphere with Bedouin musicians playing traditional music. The accommodation was clean, beautiful, and well organized. Towels, hygiene products, and mosquito spray were provided, though a plug-in device for overnight use might have been even better. We came away with a memorable, enjoyable stay.

The kids were happiest running over the dunes, sliding down and climbing back up, and watching sunset from the high sands. We even celebrated my son’s birthday there. We only stayed one night, but I’d go back for sure. It felt like another world, and after passing at least four other camps, we arrived in the late afternoon. The buffet dinner was a feast: flavorful food, excellent barbecue and meats, plus rotis, parathas, and desserts. The restaurant staff were lovely, served some dishes to the tables, and the manager checked on guests. Special thanks to Aakash for the delicious food. Our Standard Chalet was beautiful and decently clean, though tight for four people. We made it work for the night. The bathroom was small but okay, and toiletries were available on request. Bug spray was in the room. In the courtyard among the Standard Chalets there were several seating areas, coffee, hot water and milk, chilled water bottles, and dates to snack on. There was a large parking lot, ATVs for rent, and a guide offering an hour-long desert and dune ride. The site also had a big waiting tent, a well-kept restaurant, and an open-air theater. After dinner they played Aladdin, and my kids stayed until the end. It was our first desert camp and safari, booked by our tour operator for 1N during our Oman trip in the last week of Dec 2025. We arrived after a long drive from Ras Al Niz via the Dhow Factory and Wadi Bani Khalid. Check-in was easy, and the staff offered face towels and were gentle and polite. It was quiet when we arrived, then several SUVs came in and the hotel filled up.

Mr. Europe gave us clear, detailed directions from the main road to the campsite, which helped as we were driving from Abu Dhabi. The restaurant team and staff from other departments were very helpful, and the service made us feel like VIPs. The quad bike ride over the dunes was an amazing adventure, with a very professional guide, Mr. Nadim. We’ll definitely come back. Kudos to management.

We had such a good time and would definitely recommend this camp to families. The location was fantastic and the service was amazing. We only spent one night there and wished we’d stayed another two days or so to enjoy it properly. A special thank-you to Saddam, Akash, and Nazir for taking such great care of me and my young children. They did so much for us. I hope management recognizes their work and thanks them on my behalf.
