Ibis Muscat Hotel

The staff were courteous and welcoming, but the way management handled our problem was unsatisfactory and affected our stay. We expected more support and accountability, and recommend improving the parking area’s security, lighting, and CCTV coverage so this doesn’t happen to other guests. We checked in at about 2:00 PM and left around 3:30 PM. The basement parking was poorly lit, so we couldn’t see any damage to our vehicle when we drove away. Later, after parking elsewhere, we found a large dent and deep scratches along its side. We returned right away to report it. The manager said they would investigate and contact us, but a few hours later we were told they couldn’t help because the parking spot wasn’t covered by CCTV. With no surveillance there, we had no way to identify who was responsible. A hotel parking facility should have adequate security, including proper camera coverage, to protect guests’ vehicles.

The breakfast buffet had a nice mix of local and international options, from fresh fruit, pastries, and flatbreads to hot items like eggs. The eggs weren’t made to order, but they were consistently tasty and served fresh at a good temperature. The dining area had a relaxing feel, and the staff were warm and attentive. Breakfast was one of the highlights of my recent stay at the Ibis Hotel in Muscat, Oman.

Breakfast service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout my very pleasant stay. Pravesh gave me especially warm, attentive service and really made a difference. Highly recommended!

There are 4-5 restaurants next door, and the supermarket is about a 10-15 minute walk away. The surrounding area feels a bit low-end and isn’t very posh, though the location itself is good. For the price, the rooms are good value, and the staff are very friendly, especially receptionist Arman, who was superb and helpful. The only issue was that the water took a while to warm up.
