We refused to stay and asked for a refund, but didn’t get one. The receptionist offered another room, and we checked it quickly. It had the same problems. My wife and I booked another three-star hotel afterwards, and there was no comparison. The room we were first shown was clearly dirty: live cockroaches, stained sheets with hair on them, and food on the floor, including almonds and crumbs. The floor obviously hadn’t been cleaned. The bathroom was in keeping with all of that. The furniture was old and neglected, with breadcrumbs on some pieces. The hallway, elevator, entrance, everything was a disaster, so it wasn’t just an unlucky room. I don’t know how this place got three stars. Al thabit “modern” hotel is neither modern nor a hotel. It felt like a place to do your dirty business for a night, that’s it. One star is too generous.

Used tissues and food crumbs had been left in the room, which hadn’t been properly cleaned, and there was an unpleasant smell too. The staff were unfriendly and didn’t respond to our concerns, making a bad situation worse. I’d hoped for a comfortable, welcoming stay, but it didn’t meet even basic expectations. My recent stay was a nightmare, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The location is good, but the room had a cockroach. The mattress was old and really uncomfortable, and the blanket was old too. There was just one old towel, and it smelled bad. The TV screen was tiny, and the wall paint was very dirty.

The room was immaculate, comfortable, and stylish, and the amenities had everything I needed to relax. Staff welcomed me warmly as soon as I arrived. My one night there went beyond what I expected, and every part of the stay was outstanding. I’d happily recommend it to anyone wanting an enjoyable, memorable stay. Five stars all around.

I stayed three days and paid 12 OMR for the room. It was good, the customer service was good, and the view was nice. The place is quiet and beautiful, and everyone was friendly. Food was high quality, and there are nearby places like Domino, McDonald’s, coffee shops and cafes. It’s near the airport, and they offer taxi service for a very cheap price. If you have an international license, you can drive and go anywhere anytime. I liked it here. For a two or three day visit to Oman, I’d suggest staying here.
