Breakfast was below average for both taste and variety. Selwa at the egg station was the one bright spot, making an excellent shakshouka. I’d stick to eggs if she’s working, since the person cooking in her absence didn’t do a good job. We booked a King Suite for six nights partly because the app advertised free parking and an airport shuttle. There was no free shuttle. The hotel’s “transport service” cost 16 OMR, while a regular taxi for the same trip was only 2 OMR, which felt misleading. Parking was also a problem. There were very few spaces, and the area was so tight that fitting our car into the car elevator and space was stressful. We ended up parking on the street. The service was poor too. After check-in, I waited over an hour for my luggage, then had to collect it myself. At checkout, I called the front desk three times for help with our bags and a trolley, but no one answered, so I carried everything down without a trolley. When I asked to weigh my luggage, they said there was no scale and told me to use the bathroom scale in my room. That’s unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Misleading amenities, poor service, and a lack of basic hospitality made the stay disappointing. I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

Ismail at the front desk was always smiling and very helpful, with great service. The hotel is nice overall, with big, clean rooms and super comfortable beds. The cleaning team did a good job too. Good price and a great location. Recommended.

The breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, and hot options that included local Omani and international dishes. The dining room was bright and comfortable too. Staff were welcoming and attentive, and the modern amenities all worked well. Ramada Encore Muscat Al Gubrah feels like a fresh, thoughtfully designed new property, from the lobby to the guest rooms. Its Al Ghubrah location is handy for business and leisure, with a short drive to Muscat International Airport (MCT), the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Muscat Grand Mall, and Avenues Mall. The main highway is easy to reach, which makes exploring the coastline and inland attractions straightforward. A comfortable, clean base with good service. I’d recommend it for a stay in Muscat.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place during a difficult time. In January, I stayed at the Ramada Encore Hotel for a week while my husband was being treated at a nearby hospital. He joined me afterward to recover for a few days. Everyone was so kind and helpful, turning what could have been a tough week into a pleasant one. Habibi at reception was calm and reassuring, and even arranged a wheelchair without us asking. Bernard greeted us warmly at breakfast each morning, Shaina made us laugh with her wit, and Arfan’s charming smile brightened the pool area. Many thanks to the whole team.
