The food was decent, and it was comforting to have good meals while we were dealing with uncertainty about travel. The hotel is a bit old and worn, but the important things were maintained. Sheets and towels were always clean, and housekeeping came quickly to replace them whenever we asked. Bathroom water pressure was good. Wi-Fi was sometimes interrupted, possibly because so many guests are staying there right now. We were unexpectedly stuck there for a while because of the situation in the Middle East, and the staff were supportive throughout. Reception worked quickly and efficiently, and all the employees were friendly, polite, and ready to help. We had a positive experience and are grateful for their kindness and professionalism during a stressful time. We’d recommend it for a comfortable stay of a couple of nights.

The rooms were roomy and clean, and breakfast was really good. The staff were kind and helpful, too. There are two large malls within walking distance. The pool is huge, though it wasn’t heated for the season. We thought the service was excellent value for the price, and would definitely return to Salalah and stay here again.

We ended up staying here for two weeks because of the Persian gulf war on 28.02.26 and Ramadan. The hotel sits at the junction of the airport, port, and town, with a good view of the burning oil terminal.

From my experience, this is a friendly place for a family to stay. I’d highly recommend it to anyone coming to Salalah.

The prices feel way too high for the comfort and service, which was poor and uncooperative. Responses took a long time, too. Maintenance noise came during rest hours, at 5:00 PM and even 3:00 AM. I raised it with reception and was told it wouldn’t happen again, but the very next day they were doing the work at those same times. We had a really bad stay at Hamdan Plaza and won’t come back.
