Leading Wings Beach Apartments

I stayed here during a road trip in January 2025 and would happily return. The value for the price is top notch, and the large rooms work well for travellers. The staff member spoke good English and was helpful and easy to communicate with. There’s a great local fish restaurant nearby, and people watch football next door, so it’s easy to get chatting. Downtown is about a 30 minute walk or an 8 minute drive. My impression of the hotel was absolutely fine.

Long Beach and the park are just behind the hotel, and it’s a good value place for anyone visiting Sur who plans to spend most of the day outside in the sun. My room was clean and comfortable, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the hotel had been freshly renovated. Everything seemed in order. It has personality and is clean for the money. I liked it very much, you can come! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

The staff don’t seem to know how to speak to customers, and they’re rude and undisciplined, even with the workers. I’d tell people to stay somewhere else, there are much better places. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever seen.

The location is nice, but checking in took over half an hour. I’d called the manager the day before and was told the price was OMR 20 per day. When I arrived the next morning, they wanted 25 Omani riyals for a one bedroom flat with two single beds. I was shocked. As a solo backpacker, exhausted from the trip, I took it anyway. They said the increase was because all the nearby hotels were fully booked. I wonder why they don’t have a fixed rate, and why they take advantage of people who need somewhere to stay for a day. Compared with another hotel I stayed at in Sur months earlier, this was a thumbs down for me.
