Cerro Azul Vacation

The staff were wonderful, kept everything clean, and brought whatever I asked for. It was quiet and tranquil, with hammocks and a barbecue, and the room stayed cool enough that we didn't need to think about AC. The place and lake are lovely, and we walked around to see some beautiful houses, but there isn't much else nearby to explore beyond the water. Bring your food, oil, and salt for a weekend, since there are no nearby supermarkets or grocery stores. Firewood is available to buy, though I recommend bringing your own if you want a fire pit. Binoculars could be useful too. Our room had a kettle for boiling water but no coffee pot, which was fine for us since we sift our coffee.

The place itself is beautiful, but we won't be back. We came hoping for a quiet weekend away from the city's noise and bustle, only to find people blasting music on Bluetooth speakers and wiping out the peaceful natural atmosphere. It's such a shame. I know people say live and let live, but it feels like there's nowhere left to enjoy nature in peace. Maybe Panama just isn't the right country for finding somewhere quiet.

The owner was the best, and did everything to accommodate us.
