Casa Alegria Bed & Breakfast

We really enjoyed all the garden and patio spots, and even picked fresh tangerines from the tree. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were cheerful. Breakfast was delicious, better than any restaurant I've tried. The owners are lovely, kind and helpful, speak both languages, and always had great recommendations.

A lovely, quaint place in Boquete, with well-kept grounds and a short walk to downtown. The rooms are on the small side but comfortable, and breakfast was tasty with plenty to eat. The owners even sent my ID to Boccas at no charge after I left it behind, which I really appreciated. A couple of things could have been better: the bar downtown is loud on Saturdays and plays music until 4 am. When we left at 8 am, half an hour before breakfast, everything was locked up, so it would have been nice to have coffee ready. We also had to carry our luggage through the small gate, though the owner saw us waiting for our cab and didn't open it. Aside from that, it's the best place to stay in Boquette.

Carol and Dean made our four-night visit easy to plan. They know the local restaurants and excursions, helped us put together an itinerary, arranged a taxi pickup, and checked with tour companies for current details and schedules. Carol also guided us through taking the express bus from Panama to David/Boquete and back, including an extra stop. She contacted the bus station and wrote a note in Spanish for the ticket window and driver. The Naomi room had its own entrance, a comfortable bed, a spotless bathroom, and a great shower with plenty of hot water. The B&B is just four blocks from the main street, so shops, dinner, and excursions are easy to reach on foot. A perfect choice for our stay, and we highly recommend it.
