Check-in was okay, and breakfast was okay too. That’s about all I can say in its favor. Room 3 looks onto a shared area, so there’s no privacy at all. You can hear everything if someone’s in a hammock on their phone, and their feet are right by your window. It felt like staying in a fish tank. There was no AC or fan, and shutting the windows for privacy made the room hot. I’d asked specifically for a quiet room, but got the worst option for both privacy and noise. Two stars at most, and that’s generous. My least favorite hotel.

The staff were lovely, always ready to help, and I’d gladly stay here again. Our room had a great view, a comfortable mattress, and a good-sized bathroom with plenty of hot water. I didn’t care much for the pillows. The hotel sits just outside town, but the centre is an easy walk with lots of bars and restaurants. Breakfast was simple, with some variety from day to day during our four nights.

We arrived on a wild, windy night with rain coming down, then woke up to a lovely full breakfast on the back porch. The staff were great and friendly.

The views were nice, but my room didn’t have a kitchenette. I only stayed one night. The rooms feel a bit dated, and for what you get, it was pricey.
