The place left me feeling refreshed and relaxed, and exactly as I'd hoped. The staff made everything easy, and I felt cared for and wanted for nothing. They were kind, polite, helpful, and there whenever I needed them. The food was astounding, and I felt nourished every day. The facilities were clean and suited what I needed, with plenty of spots to spend time alone or with a group. There was easy access to nature, including sloths, and a short walk to a beautiful lagoon and beach. There were lots of adventures available, and the team helped with transport to and from activities, explained what could be done, and helped me figure out what was right for me. It was a transformational experience. The beauty of the place gave me a sense of peace I can't replicate, and the location made itself felt through all five senses. It's hard to describe without sounding fake.

The rough dirt track to reach the place was the one downside when I visited in February 2026. Once there, though, it was wonderfully quiet, with trails and wildlife all around, plus a nice pool for relaxing. The staff were lovely, the food was good, and the setting was idyllic.

We’re traveling for a year, and Bird Island is one of the places we’ll remember most. It was a special chance to enjoy the local culture and food, especially the delicious vegetable rondón 😜, with a warm atmosphere and great people. The jungle meets the ocean here, so the views and sunsets are unforgettable. A magical place to switch off and be close to nature.

Bird Island Bungalows is such a magical place. I spent a week there during a yoga retreat, and the rooms, facilities, and staff were all fantastic. Days by the rainwater pool and evenings listening to the waves made it easy to settle into the natural surroundings. The owners have great island connections if you want help finding nearby adventures, but there’s plenty of room to recharge and explore on site too. I can’t recommend it enough.

The friendly staff are what made our stay at Eco Bird Island Bungalows stand out. Vico, Ema, Mari, Kit, and Rolando were all helpful and added so much to our visit. I especially loved doing outdoor morning yoga with Vico, surrounded by nature. There are common areas for reading, relaxing, journaling, or playing games from the bar. The secluded setting is peaceful and has beautiful views. Our room was spacious and carefully designed, and the food was fresh and healthy. They also offer morning and evening yoga and shuttles to nearby beaches. A lovely place for a holiday.
