Playa Bluff Hotel

We asked if we could use the pool if we ordered food, and they said it was fine. We ordered a vegetable dish and rice, both overpriced at $15. While we were eating and our children were already in the pool, we were told pool use cost $8 per person. Nobody else was there, and the staff hadn't made the charge clear while four of us listened to the order. They later accepted that charging us while the kids were already swimming wasn't okay, but the whole thing was disappointing. The food was okay and the pool was filthy. It was strange to see a business run here by people who don't speak English or Spanish and seem not to understand the local culture.

The rooms at Playa bluff hotel have had a very nice, comfy upgrade. Its garden borders the jungle, where you can see many friendly animals, birds, and butterflies. I was impressed by the new yoga parfotm in the nature. Owner Stephanie is lovely and very talented at healing. The restaurant is right in front of the beach, serves Asian food, and it's super yummy 😋

The beach view and the beach itself were beautiful, and the waves were awesome. Surfers would love it. The restaurant food and drinks were delicious, and everything was reasonably priced. This is a very green place that uses solar energy and cares about nature and the environment. It's the only hotel on the island directly across from the playa bluff beach, which makes the location so convenient. The vibe is old-fashioned and outdoorsy, but if you enjoy nature like I do, you'll love it.

Melissa was an amazing host and went way beyond what she had to do. We became fast friends 🙃. I loved my time at Bocas del Toro, and Playa Bluff Hotel was perfectly placed just steps from the water. Be very careful of the waves.
