Swan's Cay

We paid $300/night over New Year, and breakfast wasn’t included. The TV was a nightmare and wouldn’t connect to the Hotel wifi. Reception staff had no customer service skills at all, and couldn’t manage a smile. The Tequila Republic street party was nearby, so we only got to sleep at 4 a.m. on two of our three nights. There are better places to stay in Bocas.

We were there during a big celebration, unfortunately right outside our hotel room, and it was extremely loud until after midnight for two nights. Apart from that, the location worked well, with everything in town a short walk away. The staff were nice and helpful. We stayed for a week in November of 2025. Our recently remodeled room was fantastic: huge, clean, with two king beds, a good-sized bathroom, A/C, and a balcony. There’s also a pool in the middle of the hotel in a courtyard-style setting.

Swan’s Cay is very central, close to restaurants, shops, bus stops, water taxis, and more, which is a big plus. The hotel is fine, and the rooms were clean and functional, but it’s pretty dated and doesn’t look like the photos anymore. We stayed in two rooms. One had a broken window. In the other, the shower door kept opening and the taps didn’t feel properly attached to the wall. The pool needs maintenance. There aren’t lounge beds, just chairs with pillows that looked like they needed cleaning. We didn’t feel very welcome for the first two days, since most of the staff barely looked up when we greeted them. Two of the women were kind and helpful. The hotel is more dated than the pictures on sites like booking show.

Staying at this hotel puts you right by a movie-like village, and walking around Boca is part of the experience.
