Somewhere

A lovely little gem near the main road to Boca del Drago and Bluff Beach. Hot water was limited, but it was still a fantastic stay.

The bed was fairly comfortable, but the place looked much less nice than the photos suggested, and I wouldn't recommend it. There were no blackout shades, and the shower door barely shut. The bathroom water was either scalding or freezing, and I spent more than 15 minutes trying to get a tolerable temperature. That was wasteful and really annoying. My end room had street noise, plus what sounded like a generator or loud engine running right outside. They don't clean rooms daily, which is fine, but they should at least take out the trash when it can't be flushed down the toilet.

The host was really nice and gave us plenty of useful tips and phone numbers for taxis, tours, and other things. The kitchen was cleaned every day and had good equipment, including a stove, toaster, and sandwich maker. Our room was clean and cozy, with air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a large bathroom where you could see the jungle from the shower. The hostel is 3 Kilometers from the town centre and 3 Kilometers from Playa Plaunch. There's an intersection to Drago 100 meters away, making it easy to catch a bus in any direction. We really enjoyed our stay at somewhere.

The staff were so friendly. When we arrived, they gave us great recommendations, helped arrange taxis, and did our laundry for free. The bedrooms were clean and had both a fan and air conditioning. The shared kitchen was well equipped, although sadly some beers were stolen from the fridge. The hotel is a fair distance from bocas town, and sometimes it was hard to find a taxi there. Construction was happening right outside during our stay and caused some noise, though hopefully it's finished by now.
