The host was amazing and very helpful, and breakfast was brilliant. We could use the large fridge in the shared kitchen. The host also runs a very good restaurant down the road, and there’s an excellent one just outside the front gate. The pool was good, with padded chairs that were fine, though the loungers weren’t comfortable. It’s a lovely tropical spot for getting away, with long beach walks, but the surf is too rough for safe swimming. Getting to Bocas is a very slow 4WD taxi ride, so buy your groceries before you go. There are no bars or loud music like in Bocas Town. However, the windows and doors have only insect screens, no glass, so birds and howler monkeys can be very loud in the mornings. Avoid the room directly under the breakfast area on the deck above if you want to sleep in. The noise is unbelievable, especially when there are children around. Padding the legs of those very heavy dining chairs might help a lot. There was no kettle in the room. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

The house sits between nature and the beautiful Bluff beach, just outside the property. During our stay, a sloth and its baby came to visit while we were having breakfast, and we saw other wildlife too. It’s remote, so you’ll need a colectivo or taxi to get there, about $15 and 30 minutes from Bocas town. The hosts are happy to help arrange activities in either direction. If you need anything, Olivia will take care of it. We had some lovely, memorable days here. Happy 2023!

Olivia and Manual were lovely and very helpful. The pool was nice, the location was lovely, and the breakfasts were excellent. They helped us arrange taxis and book tours, and Olivia even got a charging cord back to us quickly after we left it in the room. It can get very hot here. There’s no air conditioning, though the windows let in breezes and there are ceiling fans.

We really enjoyed the relaxed, easygoing atmosphere during our five nights here. The rooms were lovely, with comfortable beds, a really nice shower, and WiFi. There was a different freshly prepared breakfast each day. Olivia is awesome and will make whatever you need happen. Thanks for a wonderful week.

Watching this beautiful sunrise with my wife, I’m just in awe of the place. The house is lovely, the garden looks like a movie scene, and the pool is perfect. You hear the waves breaking on the shore and howler monkeys singing in the trees. Pure magic, we never want to leave! Olivia is amazing, so kind and helpful. She made a reservation for us at a local restaurant and made absolutely sure they knew my son and I have celiac disease and understood how to prepare our food safely.
