Casa Mahana Lodge

I only stopped in for dinner, not a stay, on a Sunday night when there was nowhere else open nearby. What a relief to find them. The pizza was honestly among the best I’ve had, and the beer was ice cold. The staff were so friendly, and some spoke English. They were closing up, but put on music when I arrived. Before long, people from nearby cabinas were out on their decks with drinks, enjoying the music and the atmosphere. I’ll have to come back and stay sometime.

We walked over from another resort for dinner around six, but there were only a couple of choices left, basically pizza or fish. We went with pizza and it wasn’t very good. It took a while to arrive, and was undercooked when it did. We didn’t return during our month in the area. We hadn’t stayed here.

We came for a meal and had margaritas with two pizzas, a BBQ chicken one and a combo. Both were very good. The atmosphere was quaint, and we ate there, though you can also order ahead for pickup or takeout.

The grounds are immaculate, and I’d stay here again. There’s a great pool, a nice bar, and breakfast is great. The place is very clean and the staff are awesome. The new owners are working hard on room upgrades, and the restaurant pizza is very good. For a reasonable price, you can’t go wrong.
