Coronado Golf & Beach Resort

The rooms were clean and had fresh AC, and the staff were really nice. The pools are fantastic, with soft, inviting music. There are also great restaurants and a wide range of food.

Everyone here is kind and ready to help whenever you need it. There’s plenty to do, from tennis, pools, and a spa to the golf course.

I’ve been here three times a year, so I can tell this hotel isn’t what it used to be. On my last visit, the room looked nice when we arrived, but smelled as if it hadn’t been used for a while. My whole family had allergies that night. We stayed two nights and had no toilet paper, soap, or shampoo at first. We asked and they brought some. The beds could be better, though the service at the beach club was very nice. They said we didn’t need a reservation because plenty of rooms were available, which was true. But at checkout they charged more than we’d agreed to over the phone, so it’s better to have a written reservation to confirm your rate. :-(

I used to stay here regularly and really enjoyed it, but my last visit ended that. After a week’s stay, we checked out and went into town. We later came back for dinner to say goodbye to the “nice” staff. We were seated, ordered food and drinks, and then were told to leave. They made us get up after we’d placed the order. I still can’t make sense of it, but I don’t care to return, join the club, or have anything to do with this place. There are dozens of more welcoming options. I’d avoid it for anything beyond golf on the brown grass.
