Solarium at Coronado Bay Oceanfront Apartments

The area is amazing and peaceful, and the location is excellent, just steps from the beach. The building has great facilities, the units cover basic vacation needs, and the views are great. Staff are always around if you need help.

Good beach views, friendly security staff, and two pools, one downstairs and another on the roof. But I wouldn't come back. The apartments are dated, and calling this a luxury place, as the owner did, is a stretch. Higher floor power failures were aggravating, and the water pressure in the apartment was awful. Yes, it gets really hot, and you need the AC. Opening windows and doors instead can make lamps fall and pictures come loose from the walls, with loud whistling noises. Some tenants were noisy and dogs barked. The rooftop pool area felt like a party spot in the early evening. The exercise and game rooms were misleading. The game room had a ping pong table but no balls or paddles. The exercise room had a couple of bikes, a rebounder, and weights that were dated and seemed dangerous. It's a bit far from town, and reaching the beach isn't easy if you have limited mobility. There are stairs down, but the last step is very steep. I have hip problems and couldn't manage that last step. Costa Rica is much better.

We booked a first floor apartment through Airbnb with a view of the pool and sea. Samantha was a very helpful host, and everything was organized perfectly. The building in Coronado sits right by the sea and is very well maintained, from the underground garage up to the rooftop pool. Thanks again, we'd be happy to come back. My five-star rating for the apartment reflects its value for the price.

A nice building with friendly, helpful staff. The pool is right beside the beach and big enough for swimming laps.
