The hotel is simple and doesn’t have extras, which was fine for the low price. We found the room clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the bed really comfortable. It’s also very handy for our trips to David for shopping or medical appointments: a block from the park and right above the lab where we get blood tests. They left us two bottles of drinking water each day when we asked.

The location worked well, just around the corner from the main square and park, and near the bus terminal. The room, though, looked worn and more dated than the pictures. There was no ice anywhere or fridge, and despite leaving my key at reception and asking for a cleaning, we came back that evening to find the room untouched.

Parking is limited, and once you’ve found a spot, you don’t want to take your car back out. Going out means dealing with wild drivers, plus people on every corner asking for money. It’s stressful.

The staff were friendly, and the price and location were good. But this was the worst smelling hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The sheets didn’t look clean or fresh, and I doubt they’re washed between guests. Some rooms open off the foyer, so you can hear guests coming back and reception watching videos late at night.

It’s safe, clean, fairly comfortable, and good value, with accommodating staff. The bus terminal is walkable. The Wi-Fi was very slow, and it took me a while to find the place.
