Pika 02 by Pika Cabins Chalet

At Pika 01, the cabin itself is lovely and spacious. We were there as a couple and had a wonderful time. It has a large-screen TV, a little kitchenette with a refrigerator, and a small attic bedroom reached by a staircase, which is a cool touch. There are board games, a beautiful patio with lots of plants and a nice lawn, plus a barbecue area and a fire pit, though you'll need to bring your own gear. The pool is there too, but can get quite cold. The place is surrounded by nature, with lovely views of the hills including Cerro Picacho, and it's near San Carlos Lagoon. Nights are quite cool, even chilly, so air conditioning isn't necessary. The only real downside was a strong smell of dirty sheets and sweat as soon as we arrived, and the sofa smelled unpleasant too. Those things need work. Apart from that, it was a very good experience.

The pool was my favorite part of the house, simply spectacular. It's a beautiful place, an easy walk to San Carlos Lagoon, and the weather is so pleasant you don't need air conditioning. Cleanliness was the letdown. There was a wet rug in the kitchen that we had to step over every time we went in, the sink looked like it hadn't been washed in ages, and the bathroom floor was wet too. The windows and light fixtures need cleaning more often.

Pika Cabins is worth the trip, from the scenic drive and beautiful mountain views to the cabin itself. The atmosphere and climate are lovely, perfect for getting away from the city. Everything else was excellent, though the windows could be cleaner. I'd definitely return and recommend it.

The cabin has a nice view and all the amenities you need. A few things could be better: the windows were dirty, the floor got wet every time you stepped out of the shower, so you had to watch your footing, and the person answering WhatsApp messages took a while to respond when I asked about availability.
