December 16, 2022. We went to rent surfboards and were told they only serve friends since the pandemic. It looked like it had been a nice place once, but I don't know if they'll reopen to the public. The owner read our messages and never replied. Text to check they're open before making the trip. I wouldn't recommend showing up without confirming.

For 15 bucks, this felt like a five-star stay! The bed was clean, the pool has a nice view, and there's a handy covered community and TV hut with hammocks. It's close to the beach, too. The air conditioning started blowing warmer air than outside after 5pm, and they don't have brooms. I wouldn't complain at that price. I run hot, so I actually wanted a cooler shower. A little gem for people who like a low-key hostal.

We planned a couple of days here to relax and surf after the long flights to Panama, before heading to Santa Catalina, and ended up staying almost 2 weeks. There are lots of good surf spots nearby. The place has a peaceful feel, with no noisy neighbors, normal-sized rooms with air conditioning, a pool, miniramp, board rentals, and a kitchen serving healthy food. Federico was really helpful with everything, including advice on where to surf in different conditions.

Federico is great, patient and knowledgeable. The place is spacious and beautiful, close to a beach that's really good for beginners. Prices are affordable. I'd highly recommend it.
