We booked one night, but on arrival a strange old man told us the hostel had no electricity and we couldn't stay. He wouldn't let us onto the property or refund our money, and didn't even try calling the actual owner to sort something out. He just said we couldn't stay and that he wasn't responsible for anything. The number we were given for the owner didn't work. The whole situation was handled in a completely ridiculous way.
Dinner was nicely presented and a great price. Roberto, the host administrator, was attentive and clearly invested in making the visit feel warm. We'll be back tomorrow to try breakfast too.
The rooms are very basic, and five rooms share just one toilet and one shower. Even so, we felt really comfortable there. Breakfast was enjoyable, the food was nice, and the staff were friendly.
The beach had a lively local feel, with families from the area spending the day there. It was fun to be around.
It feels just like home :)
