Taca Tucan Hostel

Trixi looked after both the guests and the hostel so well. The rooms and shared bathroom were especially clean, and the beds were very comfortable. There are small lockers in the rooms for valuables. Outside, there are hammocks, a BBQ area and places to sit. Breakfast is free and good, with plenty of toast and fruit and lots of different jams. The beach is nice and only a few metres away. The supermarket is two houses along, handy if you want to cook in the shared kitchen. Thanks, Trixi, for a great stay!

It’s a small place, but we had the best time. The beautiful beach is a one-minute walk away, and there’s a pizza place and small market right next door. The owners made it feel like family. Larissa, her mother Larissa, the dogs Aldo and Trappola, and Mango the Cat were the best part. We could eat with them whenever we wanted, and they introduced us to traditional Panamanian food. We laughed a lot, shared wine and had such a good time together. Thanks for everything!

Trixi made sure we were enjoying our stay, and every morning she brought us fresh, tasty breakfast in her garden. The hostel was very clean, with comfortable hammocks and some cute dogs in the garden. The owner is lovely and from Austria. I’d definitely recommend Taca Tucan Hostel and will come back one day!

The hostel is just steps from the beach, with restaurants, a bar and small grocery stores next door. Laundry is across the street and costs only .75, and local transport comes by often and stops right in front. The outdoor space is great, with hammocks, a fire pit, ping pong, and tables to sit at. The beds are comfortable, rooms are kept clean and have A/C, the showers have hot water, and the WiFi is fast and steady. Highly recommend it as a place to relax and enjoy the colourful decorations and paintings throughout the rooms and walls!
