The beach club was our favorite restaurant, especially the octopus from the Komodo menu. It was cooked perfectly, Portugal-style, and Komodo also made steaks there. You may need to ask for that menu since they don’t always bring it out. We liked choosing our own restaurants, and the tap water was great. The hotel sits right in Panama’s lush natural setting by the beach, so it was easy to just relax and enjoy the trip. Luis Rivas and Rocio helped make our vacation incredible. I also appreciated that the employees weren’t distracted by texting on their phones. They stayed focused on guests, which feels rare in 2026. Congratulations to the whole staff.

The spa and pool were the best parts of the trip for me. The resort itself was amazing and felt very welcoming, with incredible attention to detail. If you’re unsure about booking, don’t overthink it. The experience is worth every penny.

Buenaventura’s grounds and facilities are immaculate, and the privacy and exclusivity were a big part of what I liked. Edgardo and Samir at restaurant Criollo were courteous and pleasant. I’m giving it 5 out of 5 mainly because of the magic of the property itself. Dining options onsite could be better, especially since the current reviews aren’t good. At El Farito pools, I ordered a maracuyá and mango alcoholic drink that tasted like neither fruit at all. I thought there might have been an ingredient mistake, and the staff kindly made it again, but it still tasted like nothing. That really needs to change. My Titanium night awards request was denied on check-in day, and during check-in no one explained the Titanium benefits onsite as the protocol requires.

The room was spacious and comfortable, though you could tell it has some age to it. Everywhere else was in top condition and very clean, from the grounds and pools to the bars and restaurants. Pool, bar, and restaurant service was excellent. The staff made the stay especially pleasant. The receptionist, valet, waitstaff, room attendants, and everyone else were professional, friendly, and hospitable from the moment we arrived. A fantastic experience, and we’ll be back.
