AC Hotel by Marriott Panama City

We had to put up with the shower flooding the bathroom for two days before they finally moved us to another room. We reported that it was clogged, but the problem should have been dealt with sooner. Housekeeping was inconsistent too: our booking was for two people, yet each room cleaning left just one washcloth. One afternoon we asked for another at 3:00 PM, and it didn’t arrive until 10:00 AM the next day. There were spiderwebs on the room walls, and the building felt poorly kept from the moment we arrived. An odor lingered throughout the hotel and never seemed to get better. Staff seemed slow to respond to requests and resolve problems. I appreciated that we were eventually moved, but the overall stay at AC Panamá Hotel was very disappointing. I expected better cleanliness, service, and attention to detail from an AC property.

The rooftop pool and its wide view over the Panama City skyline were a highlight, and the financial district location made it easy to get to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. We also found the room comfortable, clean, a good size, and furnished in the AC brand’s modern minimalist style without unnecessary clutter. What made the stay memorable, though, was the staff. Yaney was especially lovely, both professional and warm, and went out of her way to make our visit feel special. The rest of the team were consistently polite too, greeting us in the lobby or by the elevator and checking whether we needed anything. We came away genuinely impressed with the AC Hotel by Marriott Panama City. If you’re lucky enough to meet Yaney, you’ll be in good hands.

The rooftop infinity pool and the view were easily the best parts. Those big windows in the room were great too. It made the property feel worth far more than it costs. This is my 19th country, and I usually stay at Marriott. The hotel was just what I expected from an AC, while the welcoming, accommodating staff and service made it feel five-star. Leo and Are at the front desk were especially helpful. Highly recommended.

The rooms were modern, comfortable, and clean, and the location worked really well for a city stay or a couple’s trip, with restaurants, business areas, and attractions nearby. As a Marriott Platinum Elite member, I found the stay at AC Hotel Panama City good overall. The service was acceptable, though recognition of Platinum status and consistency could have been better. A solid choice for the location and room quality, but the service fell short of what I expected.
