There are lots of shops, restaurants, nightlife, and things to do nearby, and the location is excellent. The hotel has a great vibe, with an excellent common area, good breakfast, and live music in the courtyard. I enjoyed the spa too. My only complaint is that the rooms are a bit small and the TV service didn't work well.

There are dozens of eateries and souvenir shops within a few blocks, and the hotel is lovely, apparently the first one in the city. Staying in this UNESCO heritage area was a lot of fun, among refurbished old town streets with some old structures still intact. The room was a little small but adequate and luxurious. They even have live music at breakfast. Had a lovely stay.

We arrived in the evening and immediately loved the old-town feel around the hotel: cobblestone streets, live music, and a real sense of place. Central Hotel Panamá Casco Viejo sits right on Plaza de la Independencia in the heart of Casco Viejo, Panama City's UNESCO World Heritage historic district. The building is beautiful and full of history, originally built in 1874 as Panama's first hotel, nearly 150 years ago. Inside, the character and architectural details come through alongside thoughtful renovations. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. Breakfast was a rich buffet with plenty of choice, easily one of the best we had on the trip. Live music near the entrance and in the restaurant areas adds to the charm and feels right for the setting. The historic building, location, atmosphere, and quality made it feel like a true five-star stay and a perfect introduction to Panama.

The service was amazing, super helpful and friendly, and the hotel has a beautiful colonial, historic, local feel. Its restaurant on the top floor was incredible, with the best ceviche we had in Panama. The rooms are very big and comfortable, and the location right in the middle of Casco Viejo is perfect. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend it.

It's a beautiful hotel, but the WiFi hasn't worked on our fourth-floor room, and nobody has fixed it despite two days of reports to the front desk. The staff seem unresponsive, as though this is just a first-world problem. I live in the Caribbean and know island time and culture, but this is worse. The thermostat is basically decoration too. There are better and cheaper options elsewhere.
