The rooms are really spacious, the beds were comfortable and clean, breakfast was free and very good, and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. For an affordable price, it’s a safe, convenient, clean place to stay. It’s old fashioned, though: the hotel is a bit dark, the bathroom and shower fittings seemed loose, the bedding looked old and had a hole or two, and the hall carpets need replacing. I don’t agree with the smell complaints, it didn’t stink. If you’re after luxury, this isn’t the place, but for the price it works.

The architecture and atmosphere give this hotel a character of its own, unlike other places in the city. The price is hard to match, and I’d recommend it whatever the reason for your trip. It does seem to need some maintenance, and the rooms have a lot of unused space.

I had a good stay in a large room with a comfortable bed, a fairly quiet setting, and good cable channels. The hotel is centrally located, and the staff were helpful. I could check in two hours early, and the guy working at night was great and had lots of information. The room listing mentioned a washer/dryer and bathrobes, but neither was there. The Wi-Fi is open and not secure, and the hotel feels a little old. Even with those downsides, the stay was good.

The Wi-Fi barely reaches beyond the main lobby, which was my only real complaint. There’s a lot to like in the large rooms, and the place is still good value for the money. It’s lost some of its shine, but a fresh coat of paint and new carpets would go a long way.

The room felt rustic, but it was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were pleasant and helped me with all sorts of questions. The interior is dated, though a quick refresh would make it perfect. I have no complaints.
