La Isabela Suites

We didn’t hear street noise at all, thanks to the double doors and windows, and had a quiet stay. The apartment was huge, with super comfy beds. It’s right in the center of Casco Viejo, a lively place to spend time. This was absolutely the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The staff were attentive and helpful, and general manager Andres made sure we were very well taken care of. I highly recommend staying here!

The suite was gorgeous and well maintained, and staying in the old town made it easy to reach lots of restaurants and shops. We were in a one-bedroom suite in the Columbia hotel, overlooking Bolivar square. At check-in, Andra’s warned us the square might be noisy. A restaurant there was definitely animated. He said he’d refund our stay if we found it too noisy, and even offered us a free night to experience it. The square is active, but you have to take into account you’re in a Latin culture. We were glad we stayed.

The executive King suite was spacious and well equipped, with quality linens, a comfortable bed, and everything well maintained. Andres, the manager, was kind and very helpful. I’d definitely stay here again.

Lots of nice restaurants nearby, but there’s also plenty of traffic. They warn you in advance about the noise, which is mostly an issue on weekends. It’s a beautiful old building, but several things weren’t working: the kitchen hot tap, hot water for maybe an hour, and the coffee machine.
