Riva B&B

The rooms are comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed, and the location is hard to beat. Anya is a kind, fun, and helpful host, and she makes a homemade breakfast with plenty of choices, fresh fruit, and enough to keep you full. There are great restaurants on Isla Carenero near Riva. Bocastown is a quick boat ride away for $1 per person if you want nightlife or need something from town. When you're ready for a quiet break, it's lovely to come back here.

I felt very safe here as a solo female traveler, and I'd definitely come back. The room was clean and cleaned every day, and the air conditioning worked great. The B&B has a lovely tropical, homey feel, with a cute dog and two cats wandering around. Ania was a great host and an amazing cook. Breakfasts were wonderful. You can spot lots of marine life right from the dock, so I didn't feel I needed a boat tour. She also has goggles and flippers available for swimming off the dock. The setting is gorgeous. Town is only a quick three-minute boat ride away, and the island has several tasty restaurants within a five-minute walk. Beaches are also very close and feel private. This was easily one of my favorite places I've stayed on vacation.

The B&B has only four rooms, so it felt almost like we had the place to ourselves. You can swim straight off the deck, which was really cool, and the island also has a beach and a few restaurants if you feel like walking around. Ania and Gabby welcomed my boyfriend and me with first-class service as soon as we arrived. Gabby made us an amazing breakfast every morning, included in the nightly price. The B&B is directly across from the main island, making it convenient to go over for dinner or bars, while still letting us stay somewhere peaceful away from the crowds. We spent two nights here in January and highly recommend it. A 10/10 experience.

We liked it so much that after three nights we added two more. Riva was the best part of our three weeks traveling around Panama. It's a beautiful, clean place, and Bocas Town is just a two-minute boat taxi ride away for $1. Ania was super friendly and helpful, arranging tours and trips around the archipelago and creating a warm, home-like atmosphere. Breakfasts were generous and very tasty, with fresh fruit and local food. I can definitely recommend it.
