The front desk handled my medical emergency well and called paramedics. In the restaurant, DIana, Militza, and the omelet chef were also friendly and very helpful. Those were the bright spots in a stay that was otherwise nowhere near Marriott's reputation. My room's AC was broken, and the temperature reached 90°F at night. Staff said it had been fixed, but the technician said the unit was out while waiting for parts. It made the room uninhabitable. The rooms also felt stuck in the 1980s, with tired furniture, an uncontrollable shower temperature, and a strange bathroom layout where a glass door blocked sink access and the open shower and toilet had no privacy. There were no amenities, including a club lounge or other facilities. The elevators were dark, dingy, stuffy, and had no floor or direction indicators. There was no concierge, and porters often stood by the door without helping with luggage or entry. As a Marriott Platinum member, I strongly can't recommend this place. It delivers none of the brand promise beyond the name, and complaints like these seem widespread on review sites. Please investigate and upgrade the hotel urgently. The location is great, but that’s about all this hotel has going for it. As a Silver Bonvoy elite member, I was shocked by the room. It smelled musty and moldy, and there was a big dehumidifier already full of water. We had to empty it ourselves, and I don’t want to think how long it had been sitting there or what mold might be around. After that, we found that half the outlets didn’t work, including all the ones by the bed. The clock radio didn’t work either. The bed was too soft and uncomfortable, with heavy blankets we didn’t need since the AC wouldn’t cool the room. There was no water provided, and it stayed stuffy all night. The shower also leaked onto the bathroom floor. The rooms are old and uncomfortable, and the price isn’t worth it. We come to the city often, but we won’t be back. Marriott Executive Apartments just up the road has better rooms.

For what I paid, this was much better value than comparable Marriott places in the city. My room was big and clean, and the desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The club was being renovated, and the gym was in a converted room on one of the floors. The hotel is a little dated, but I’d stay again and would love to see it get the refresh it deserves.

The staff were great, and the rooms are very large. Our room was okay, with a nice bathroom, though the carpet was really old. The building feels very dated. We were on the fifth floor, where the hall was filthy and the floor sagged badly in several spots. I’m not sure what was going on with the HVAC, but the rooms were ice cold, and a strong mildew smell hung throughout the building.
