A relaxing place.

I was really sleepy, and $15 for three hours seemed like a good way to rest. I’d rate the sheets and beds 5 out of 10, but they were acceptable.

The only real plus is how close it is to the metro. The doorbell is loud and echoes through the hostel, disturbing every room. The rooms are quite small, the beds a bit uncomfortable, and the old sheets and towels have lots of holes. The shower was dirty, with soap left behind by the previous guest. The showerheads need cleaning too, since barely any water comes through. There’s no proper hot water, just lukewarm water that’s almost cold. The toilet cistern leaked constantly and didn’t work right, so there wasn’t enough water to flush properly. The old AC units have no remote or temperature control. They get the room freezing, then you have to get up to turn them down, only to get up again when it gets hot. Across from the hostel there’s a club with suspicious activity, but it’s closed off so you can’t see inside. Rooms are rented by the night, or for an hour or two, and we heard beds creaking. I wouldn’t consider this a place for children or women traveling alone.

I used to go there often and thought it was really good. Then one day a creep stood behind the door, talking and listening in on the rooms. Weren’t the security cameras watching what was happening in the hallways? After that, I stopped going.
