Viajero Casco Viejo Hostel

The rooftop gets a bit loud at night, so I used headphones when I wanted to sleep early. That lively atmosphere is part of the fun here, though. Over three weeks, Viajero Panama started to feel like home, and the staff like family. Jessie brings guests together really well, and the 7:00 meet-and-greets are a must. We loved the ceviche class, and the activities and tours were all great for exploring and meeting people. The whole place is kept spotless, with the team constantly cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, and shared spaces. Tomorrow's sadly our last day, and we're already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Gian and Juan were especially kind and helpful, and made the stay even nicer. I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. The hostel was cozy, clean, and had a lovely atmosphere. I'd happily return and recommend staying here.

The staff were wonderful, and the little pool has a fantastic view. The kitchen was cleaned constantly, sometimes the floor seemed to get done two or three times in an hour. The location works well for shops, the sea, and the old town. My double room was a decent size and had a pleasantly firm mattress. I was there in late December and joined the rooftop parties, so this is a good fit if you like party hostels. I can't say whether it's quieter at other times of year. The party noise was bearable, but the traffic noise was awful. Still, I enjoyed my stay.

The bed was really comfortable, and I appreciated having air conditioning and a proper duvet. The rooftop is gorgeous, and the work facilities were brilliant. It's in a handy area, with the fish market, Cafe Coca-Cola, and a local dive bar with $1 beers all within walking distance. Food and drinks at the hostel are a bit pricey, but there are plenty of nearby options if you'd rather eat elsewhere.
