Waldorf Astoria Panama Residences

We had a lovely Valentine weekend, and breakfast on Saturday was especially memorable since it was my birthday. William, our waiter in the dining room, somehow found out and made the meal feel really special. I’m grateful for that thoughtful touch.

The bedroom itself was nice, but the public spaces and some cleanliness details didn’t meet what I’d expect from a Waldorf. The spa also adds a 20 fee to every service. They did tell me when I arrived for my massage, but it felt like nickel-and-diming. I’d rather see that included in the price upfront.

The room was comfortable, with a great shower and very good beds, though the thin walls let noise from the neighboring room wake us several times. What really stood out was the staff’s warmth. William’s morning smile and city tips became a highlight, and Anthony L. and Ernesto were lovely at the breakfast buffet. We also appreciated Lille, our concierge, and her excellent suggestions. She knows all the best spots.

Every visit feels like coming back to our home away from home. The team welcomed us just as warmly as on our first stay, and the care from the front desk, VIP concierge, Matiz Restaurant, Peacock Alley, and bell service is unlike anything we’ve experienced in our travels as United States residents. We’re grateful to feel part of the Waldorf Astoria Panama family. Our Junior Suite was spacious and elegant, with an incredible city view. The hotel is spotless, the food is delicious, and the cocktails are exceptional. We loved the beautiful lobby and the artwork throughout the property. There’s plenty to do nearby, with easy access to restaurants and Old Town, and Panama Canal and Monkey Island were only a short drive away. So many people made the stay special. Lille and Oliver from VIP concierge were incredible. At Matiz Restaurant, William, Yemy, Bunny, Jose, Dailin, and manager Federico were all wonderful. Giselle, our favorite room attendant, and Esperanza and Zuryth at the front desk made us feel at home too. We know we’ve missed some names, but every person left a lasting impression. It was lovely to see General Manager Andres take time to greet us personally. Ruben and Julian were great as well, and it means a lot that management interacts directly with guests. We can’t picture staying anywhere else in Panama. The hotel’s details, service, and the people make it feel like family.
