The Westin Playa Bonita Panama

The staff made our stay comfortable and memorable, and we’d be happy to come back. In the Club Lounge, Ashley, Zamir, and Herdenza were warm, professional, and attentive every time, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Joanna, the Guest Service Manager, was kind and responsive, with a clear commitment to making sure guests were happy. Ronaldo at the Pool Bar was friendly and upbeat, and always made sure we were looked after. We also appreciated the two front desk agents on duty around 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 30. One of the women was training, and both were patient, helpful, and welcoming during check-in. We had an exceptional stay at the Westin Playa Bonita Panama. The service was outstanding from beginning to end, and we highly recommend the hotel. Thanks to the whole team for making the visit so special!

We’ll definitely stay here again. It’s absolutely beautiful, with far more positives than negatives. A few parts of the room needed maintenance, including the door hinges and detailed tile cleaning, and the in-room phone didn’t work. I also wish they’d given us a property map or more information at check-in. We had to work it all out ourselves and feel we missed some things early in our stay.

The view is incredible, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. We stayed in the presidential suite on the top floor, but unlike the smaller rooms below, ours had no drinks, coffee, or refreshments for purchase. The fridge was completely empty, and although there was a full kitchen, it had no dishes, silverware, or cups. The breakfast buffet was the best meal. I’d like to see more attention to the lounge food and drinks in general. The hotel could bring in more money by keeping the drink service going. Poolside staff were better than the service by the grassy area near the beach, where we had to flag our server down a few times from the same spot. The pools were being worked on and were sometimes drained and refilled, so we couldn’t use the swim-up bar at those times. All in all, we had a good experience.

The staff were the best part for us. Marilyn looked after us at breakfast and lunch and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Rigoberto at the lobby bar took good care of us, Anna was a wonderful and attentive server at Asiana and Tierra y Fuego, and Zamir made sure we were happy with our meals at Oregano and Starfish. I never got the coffee shop woman’s name, but she always greeted us with a smile and made lovely cappuccinos. Angie and Ida kept our rooms clean, fresh, and well stocked. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and welcoming. My wife and I stayed at the Westin Playa Bonita with friends from November 22nd to December 6th, 2025. The hotel is in a beautiful spot, with ocean views from some rooms and the pool area. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Panama, which we also toured during our stay. The property is well kept, the amenities are nice, and the rooms are comfortable. We were on an all-inclusive package and really liked the food and drinks. There were lots of buffet choices, plus good a la carte options we could access. As a large hotel, it also hosts conventions and private parties, and it got busy and noisy at times. A couple of poolside parties went fairly late in the evening. Even so, we had a very positive stay, loved Panama, and would definitely return.
