We got into town late after a long drive, with no reservation, and luckily came across this place just before dark. The owner clearly takes pride in it. We were welcomed even though we were unexpected, got into a clean, roomy, well-stocked room right away, and felt like family. There are secluded little spots to lounge, whether you want privacy or a chat. The three or so staff members we met were friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable. The bar tender was super friendly, and the beer cost less than a couple of bucks, so there was no need to head elsewhere. This isn’t a five-star stay, but I’d still give it five stars because it offered more than any hotel we’d stayed in over the previous 12 months. I didn’t get to try the food, but it smelled great, and I plan to next time.

I had a wonderful time at Hostal Doña Maria and would gladly return if I’m in Pedasí again. The owners were so warm and welcoming, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my stay. My room was comfortable and had its own bathroom, air conditioning, and a TV. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Nelli and Marila were incredibly kind and attentive. They even suggested other nice hotels in case we wanted to stay somewhere else. We spent four nights here and used their recommendations to visit different places. The rooms are simple but clean, and the AC worked well. No complaints. The place is right on Pedasi’s main road, so restaurants and coffee shops are an easy walk away. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

The crew are what make this unpretentious hostal in Pedasí feel like home. They’re genuinely welcoming. We really liked the breakfast, especially the pipa fria, and had tasty homemade burgers for dinner.
