Hotel Punta Franca

The grounds are well cared for, with two pools and spectacular views. We were upgraded from a basic room or cabin to a bigger room with a balcony overlooking the pool. The restaurant served good food and drinks at fair prices, and the chef made sure we were happy with our meal. We left feeling completely relaxed and would definitely recommend this little gem. The WiFi was spotty, though.

The setting is beautiful, but my three-day stay was a 1/10 experience and absolutely not worth the price. Other guests I spoke with reported the same problems, and some said clothes had gone missing. When I arrived to check in at 3pm, there was nobody at reception. Staff didn’t know where to find my reservation, even though I’d made it months ahead. They were searching a notebook full of handwritten notes and scribbles. Then I was told the room wasn’t ready and had to wait in the restaurant for an hour. The room was decent, but there was no soap. I couldn’t find anyone at reception when I asked, so a restaurant employee gave me some from his personal supply. We never got hot water either. WiFi failed 90% of the time, and there was little phone signal in this remote location. The staff service was extremely slow. People seemed not to know anything about the hotel, and whenever I asked a question, they had to call someone to get help. They even ran out of drinking water. The restaurant told me they didn’t know when more would arrive. It’s a badly managed hotel in a beautiful location, and the photos shouldn’t fool you. The service, food quality, unreliable WiFi, and lack of prompt help made this a bad choice. I recommend avoiding it.

The cabins have terraces and hammocks facing the ocean, and on a sunny day the views are stunning. Rooms are basic but comfortable. The setting feels private, right along the sea cliffs outside Pedasi town. It’s down a dirt road, with two playas nearby that are easy to reach. The drive is well worth it and adds to the Pedasi experience. Food and drinks at the restaurant were delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and cooked to order. I’m really glad I found this little slice of heaven and will be back.

We stopped for dinner at this beautiful spot and loved it. There were lots of dishes to choose from, and our food arrived nicely presented and tasted great. The cliffside terrace was wonderful, and the cocktails made for a relaxing time. A great choice.
