The island's people and the staff are wonderful, and the place has a great setup for backpacking prices. They communicate super well, too. Message them on their WhatsApp # for easy, up-to-date directions on taking the public bus from Panama City for under $10. I won't post all the travel details since they can change. If your transfer takes you through Sabinitas, pick up fresh fruit and veg at Sabinitas grocery store. You can buy everything else locally once you're there. It's not much more expensive, and it's worth supporting the community. It was a backpacking stay, but so much more.

The rooms are quite spacious, and some come with a terrace. The owners are so friendly, sort out whatever you need, offer great food tips, and even call ahead for a boat. Easily one of the best hostels I've stayed in, and definitely the cleanest I know. We'll absolutely come back!

Even during the quiet period, I had a wonderful stay. The hosts were kind and generous with their time, and I felt really welcomed. It's one of the most beautiful, relaxing hostels I've stayed at. Thank you!

We stayed three nights in the garden-view cabine, which was cozy and really nice. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and store food. Justina was incredibly kind and helped us with everything, from finding a beach, groceries, and food to hiking to a good viewpoint and getting back to the mainland for our next stop. The house has lots of hammocks, sofas, and comfortable chairs, with lovely art and details throughout. It feels like a cozy hideaway, tucked a few meters back into the forest rather than on the main street, though it's conveniently just three minutes from where the boats arrive. I recommend it to anyone. Bring mosquito repellent :)

The hostel owner is lovely, and I had an amazing time here. I went around this time last year. I never leave reviews, but I had to say this is one of the best places I've been.
