The staff weren't very friendly. On our second night, the owner had a party downstairs with loud music, then blamed other guests and said it wasn't him. We didn't stay for the third night and won't be back. Go to bocus del mar!!!!
The tour staff were friendly and the tours were easy to access. The restaurant menu was very limited, though they did have all the dishes listed.
The rooms were clean, the view was nice, and the service was excellent.
I can't speak for the hotel, but the restaurant was disorganized. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food, which then came out in batches about 20 minutes apart. Prices had gone up, too. We had to ask again for our Coke, and when it finally came it wasn't very cold and had no glass or ice. The waitresses weren't rude, but they didn't make us feel very welcome either.
The excursions visit mangroves and beaches on nearby islands, but ours was really dull. We saw hardly any mangroves and spent most of the time left on beaches for hours with nothing to do except swim. During the trip, the guide harassed a whale to get photos. We should think about how we treat sensitive, intelligent animals. A turtle surfaced off the port side at one point, then immediately submerged, as if it had anticipated what was coming.
