The thoughtful touches made my birthday stay especially memorable. A delicious cake was waiting in my room when I arrived, another appeared unexpectedly while I celebrated with friends at Capella Rooftop Bar, and we also got complimentary champagne by the pool. The massage at the in-house spa was wonderful, calming, and restorative, a lovely way to start the day. The room was beautiful, with a graceful mix of history and luxury, and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. From arrival onward, the staff were warm and attentive, and every detail felt considered. The team made the whole experience feel both professional and genuinely caring. I left feeling celebrated and grateful, already hoping to return. Hotel La Compañía is a real gem in Casco Viejo for a special occasion.

For our first trip to Panama, we were so glad we chose La compañia. We stayed in the spanish wings, with a beautiful room and comfortable bedding, right in the middle of the old city. The doormen always greeted us with a smile, and Barbara at the front desk was very helpful. Thank you! Dinner at El Santuario was lovely, and we enjoyed snacks and drinks at The American Bar. The servers were friendly and the food excellent. Breakfast from the coffee shop was the one downside. We’ll definitely stay at La Compañia on our next trip.

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location, with exceptional staff and food and drinks. We stayed two nights, then came back for one more at the end of our Panama trip. Such a treat, and I’d recommend it without hesitation.

I came for breakfast on three mornings, though I didn’t stay at the hotel. The place is beautiful, and the food I ordered was delicious, with no complaints about it. My issue was the service. On the first two visits, after ordering from the menu rather than the buffet, my empty plate sat beside me for over an hour, even as staff walked past several times with their hands free. Nobody checked whether I wanted another coffee, though I did and would have liked to stay longer. It was disappointing to see staff seeming more interested in chatting among themselves, especially the women, than attending to guests.

A cancelled flight left us needing somewhere for one night in Panama City, and we were lucky to choose this lovely hotel. The building is beautiful, and its location makes exploring the old town easy. Our room in the French wing was clean and stylishly decorated, so we felt very comfortable. We didn’t have time to try the many restaurants and bars at the hotel, but breakfast was excellent. The lush gardens were a welcome place to take breaks between exploring the city. What impressed us most was the staff: everyone we spoke to was professional, friendly, and very willing to help. We had a wonderful stay and hope to visit again.
