We let the owner know we'd be leaving early, and they brought breakfast to our room the night before. The river view was lovely, and the location made it easy to reach either the train or bus. We stayed one night before going to Machu Picchu the next morning. The room was clean and welcoming, the accommodations were complete, and the staff were very friendly. A good-value spot for the town.

They left fruit, juice, and snacks the night before for guests heading out early, which helped us. The bathroom was clean and convenient, and the window seemed to have a nice view, though we arrived and left in the dark and couldn't see it. The room had several tiny bugs and very little shelf space. For a short night before our MP visit, this modest hotel was enough. We only slept a few hours before leaving early. At the desk, the person gave us a bad exchange rate when converting the fare from dollars. If you can, pay in advance.

After visiting the ruins, we even went back to the hostel's restaurant for lunch. We had stayed one night before Machu Picchu, and the woman who met us at the train with a sign showing our names led us to the entrance. The man at reception was extremely helpful and offered to walk us to the bus station to buy next day's tickets. There was hot water in the showers, warm blankets on the beds, and breakfast was ready early. A great place to rest before or after the visit.

Last night they packed our leftover food in a box, then warmed it up for us to have for lunch today. When we were rushing to catch the earliest bus, the staff also prepared bananas and pan for us to take along. It's a modest hotel, but the staff are really friendly.

We left our bags here and had dinner before boarding the train. The place was friendly, and dinner was pretty good: a set menu for 20 sol with a drink, appetizer, and entree. We liked it better than the meal we'd had the previous night in the busy area.
