Colca Inn Hotel

The best part was seeing an alpaca walk into the hotel foyer. It’s a large hotel, and sharing it with another Intrepid group made it feel cosy. I’m not sure why they put people in the rooms facing the road when there’s a fair across from it that’s quite noisy. Wifi was okay, but really only worked in the foyer. Breakfast was simple and tasty, the staff were helpful, and the rooms had the basics and were comfortable. Some people found it cold while we were there, but there were plenty of blankets. The billiard table downstairs was fun to use. It’s central, close to the town square, market, and nearby restaurants.

The wifi worked, but kept dropping out. Otherwise, it was a really good stay, with a chilled breakfast and nice staff. It’s a good area for a walk and not far from the town Center. Recommended!

The location is a plus, about a five-minute walk to the Plaza de Areas, where you’ll find restaurants, shops, and the market. It’s a cosy, decent, no-frills hotel. In Chivay, I wasn’t expecting much.

There’s a heater, hot water, and a good breakfast, but the rooms don’t look like the pictures.
