We slept brilliantly, then had a simple but delicious breakfast with great fried eggs. The price was a bargain for an ideal overnight stop. The hotel is about 120 metres from the main square, handy but well away from the trains. The staff were fantastic and helpful, and after the Machu Pichu trek the hot shower was just what we needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The receptionist picked us up from the train station when we requested it, then gave me lots of helpful details on how to get to Machu Picchu. She really went above and beyond. It seems to be family-run, with friendly, helpful staff all around. The rooms are simple, clean, and nice, and the price felt fair for the service. If you're staying overnight in Aguas Calientes before Machu Picchu, this B&B is a great choice.

Walter picked us up right at the Peru rail station, so we didn't waste time looking for the hostel. He also helped us buy the Machu Picchu bus ticket ahead of time, print our entrance ticket, and figure out the best route to explore Machu Picchu on our own. After checkout, we could shower at the hostel before our train to Cusco. Very good service for an affordable price, and I'd definitely recommend it. Thanks so much.

Walter was kind when he welcomed us, and that’s why I’m giving two stars instead of one. He deserves better as a host, but the place doesn't meet the standards I’d expect from a three-star hotel. Based on the description and reviews, I expected something quite different. It felt much more like a hostel than I would have imagined, even for a low-budget hotel. The photos show rooms that look well kept and decorated with rose petals, but our room was bare and minimalist, with a permanently stained bedspread and windows facing a construction site or abandoned building. I understood this was a value option and wasn't expecting luxury. Still, the bed felt like cardboard, and using the bathroom made me cringe. It was a rough stay before a Machu Picchu day. The bathroom and shower were falling apart, with chipped tiles that might have had mold, and a leaking sink that made the room feel even more unpleasant. I hate leaving a review like this, but based on how misinformed we felt before arriving, there needs to be a more balanced picture.

The owner is nice, the rooms and shared bathroom are clean, and breakfast is good. Machu Picchu is very cold, though, and there was no heater in the room. It seems like that may be the case at any hotel there.
