The person in charge was very kind and accommodating, and even prepared breakfast for guests heading out on an early tour. The room was spacious and very clean, and the shower worked well. You’re near the center, restaurants like Magguis Grill, the ticket office and bus waiting area for Machu Picchu, as well as the train station.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean, though the pillows were awful. The place is friendly and tidy, but calling it four stars feels like a stretch. Hot water is limited, the internet is slow, and breakfast was terrible. My street-facing room was noisy enough that I could lie down and rest, but not really sleep. Birds, dogs, chickens, people, shop doors slamming, and plenty more made the noise.

The staff were good, and when we complained they moved us to another room. Unfortunately, our original room, number 203, had no ventilation or heating, so moisture built up and there was black mold on the walls. The next day, another couple was given that same room.
