Hotel Plaza San Antonio

I stayed for 10 days and found it great value for money. For the price, you get a decent breakfast, and it's a handy place to leave your things while you head out to enjoy Arequipa and the area's tours. The hotel is 15-20 minutes' walk from the city center. There's a basic gym, a fridge and fan in the room, hot water throughout, daily cleaning, and friendly, welcoming staff. You can also do laundry here for the same price as elsewhere. The floors, towels, sheets, and toilet paper were all kept very clean. The walls are paper thin, though, so you will hear your neighbors.

There weren't many negatives, it felt like an average hotel. Breakfast wasn't buffet style, but there were really nice options. The coffee came in packets, which wasn't a big deal. They have a place to store your luggage if you arrive early, and hot water at night if you want tea or instant coffee.

We paid £21 a night with breakfast included, which made this place great value. Breakfast was eggs, fresh bread, and juice. The whole place was very clean, and the gym was good enough for us to use every day. It was about a 15-minute walk to the old city and the main squares.

The big problem here is noise. It's a nice hotel, but about a 20-minute walk from the city.
