Los Tambos - Colonial

A charming building, quiet rooms, and friendly staff who were helpful throughout. It was a fantastic stay and excellent value for money.

I was disappointed by how my belongings were handled at Los Tambos Colonial in Arequipa. After checking out during my trip through Peru, I called a few hours later because I'd left a rain jacket and a book in the wardrobe. The hotel said they'd found the book but not the jacket. I'm completely sure I left the jacket there, and my travel companion remembers it too. It seems someone on the staff must have taken it. It's a real shame to have this happen at such a beautiful hotel. I hope management takes it seriously and makes sure lost property is handled with integrity in the future.

We found the hotel quiet and relaxing inside, even though it was just a quick walk from the Plaza de Armas. Breakfast was varied and made to order every morning, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The concierge arranged a tour to the Rutas de Sillar for the next day at a reasonable cost. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Fernando welcomed us and was really helpful during our stay. The rooms were clean, breakfast was nice, and the whole team at Los Tambos gave excellent service. Highly recommended!
