Casa Sucre Hostel

The hosts are lovely and always ready to help with whatever they can. It's a cute, affordable hostel, conveniently close to the main square of Ayacucho. I'd definitely recommend it!

The young woman looking after the place was kind, helpful, and understanding, and deserves a lot of credit. Even so, we left the same day we arrived because the room had a disgusting sewage smell that made it impossible to sleep. We were offered another room, where the smell was milder. Until this is fixed, I wouldn't recommend staying here. We didn't see any other guests, and the street noise was noticeable too.

Just a few hundred meters from the main plaza, the rooms were quiet and the location was fantastic. This is the warmest hostel I've stayed at in Peru so far, and it felt like home. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They happily shared travel information for free and would even connect you with more specialized contacts if you needed. You can freely use any facility you need. A great option for a comfortable, welcoming stay.

Yuly, the owner's daughter, was always around to answer questions and help with anything. I stayed in a dorm at their hostel accommodation. The room was very large and comfortable, with huge lockers for all my things. The bathroom was right there, clean, with hot water and good shower pressure. There's a big kitchen with free tea and coffee, a spacious common area off the kitchen, and a living room with sofas and a large TV. Casa Sucres has two locations about 15 meters apart. This was a really great hostel and the only cheap one I could find near the center. It's fairly quiet, probably because few foreigners visit wonderful Ayacucho.
